Summary

Dig Deeper does not have accounts and does not send your data to our own servers. Your game progress stays on your device. The game shows ads provided by Google AdMob, and purchases are handled by Google Play. Those Google services may collect some information as described below.

Who we are

Dig Deeper (Android package com.digdeeper.dig_deeper) is developed and published by [developer name] (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information is collected when you play Dig Deeper and how it is used.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location, and we do not run servers that receive data from the game.

Third-party services built into the game — Google AdMob and Google Play — may collect information directly from your device. They are described in the sections below.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Dig Deeper is free to play and shows ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob): a banner at the top of the screen and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch. To show, measure and improve ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information such as:

  • your device’s advertising ID and app set ID;
  • your IP address, which can be used to estimate your general location (country or city);
  • device and app information, such as device model, operating system version and app version;
  • ad interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped, and diagnostic and performance data.

Google’s use of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can read more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses advertising.

Your consent choices

Where the law requires it — including the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland — the game shows Google’s consent form the first time you open it, before any ads are requested. You can choose whether Google may use your data for personalised ads. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads, which use more limited data.

You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the game.

In-app purchases (Google Play)

Optional purchases (gem packs and “Remove banner”) are processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment card or billing details. The game receives a purchase confirmation from Google Play so it can deliver your item, and keeps a record of processed purchases on your device so an item is never delivered twice. Google’s handling of payment information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments privacy notice.

Information stored on your device

The game saves the following on your device only, so you can pick up where you left off:

  • game progress (depth, ore, crew, relics, upgrades and gem balance);
  • records of purchases already delivered, and whether the banner has been removed;
  • settings, such as sound and haptics, and limits for optional rewarded ads.

This information is not sent to us. It is deleted if you clear the app’s data or uninstall the game.

Children

Dig Deeper is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, please contact us and we will help.

Your choices and rights

  • Personalised ads: change your consent choice in Settings → Privacy options, or turn off ad personalisation in your Android settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads).
  • Advertising ID: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings at any time.
  • Delete your data: uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes everything the game stored on your device. There is no account to delete.
  • Your legal rights: depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR or EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we do not hold personal data about you, requests about advertising data are best made to Google, but you are always welcome to contact us.

Data retention

Data stored on your device remains until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the game. Information collected by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies.

Security

Game data is stored in the app’s private storage, which Android keeps separate from other apps. Connections made by Google’s services use encryption in transit.

International transfers

Google may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States, using safeguards described in its privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if the game adds new features. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will let players know in the game or on this page.
